GOING DUTCH

The Dutch Angle is popular in MTVs and television commercials. The horizontal axis is intentionally tilted to disorientate (for psychological effect) or for aesthetics. Unfortunately, it is overused as a gimmick; which tend to irritate than excite. In still photography it should be applied even more sparingly and carefully as the viewer lingers on a particular frame longer. Arguably, the angle (tilt) should be drastic enough to differentiate it from common levelling error.

Story: Who says Klang is a boring town?
Interestingly, this dome is part of a tiny Chinese temple in Klang (left). I'm guessing it is either an architectural quirk or a result of the overlapping influence of our multi-cultural history that, incidentally, includes Dutch.
