RIVER OF LIGHTS

When umbrellas go up, so should your camera. Wet roads make beautiful images at night.

Story: Pump prime your sensor
A little effort is required though. An ISO 400 setting (left) almost 'stopped' the traffic and resulted in a very ordinary shot. Dropping it to a less sensitive ISO 50 and manually selecting a smaller aperture, forced a long exposure. The road was transformed into a magical river of flowing lava.

I shot from an overhead pedestrian bridge. The reckless jaywalkers and lane-switching drivers enhanced the picture, ironically.
