OLD ROAD TO BENTONG
(A Photo Essay)

The scenic old route from Gombak to Bentong offers a treasure trove of subjects for shutterbugs. This forgotten road was once the only central passage to the East coast. Beginning high above the Karak Highway, it passes through numerous waterfalls, quaint little towns, Orang Asli settlements and even a coniferous forest...

First Stop. The shady cool stream at the Jungle Lodge in Gombak. A darting neon blue-winged dragonfly appeared impossible to capture or even focus at first. Patience and tricky prediction of its flight path paid off in the end. ISO 400, f4, 1/400 sec

TV Smith's cameras furnished by Olympus Malaysia.
