This Thaipusam, I joined thousands of Hindus in their annual pilgrimage to Batu Caves. While the devotees and penitents carry kavadis and milk pots, I carried my camera. Here's a selection of pics from this spectacular and dramatic festival...

Milky Offerings. Devotees with pots of milk on their heads make their way to the cave temple. An act that also signifies the purification of one's being. Exposure setting: ISO 100, f2, 1/3 sec
