MAH FU LAT

Today's a special day. It marks the debut of Lia
Mah Fu LAT; a collaborative effort between
me and artist/cartoonist Johnny Ong. We
will take a whack at blending social and political
commentary into a series of topical cartoons that
typify the signature satire and offbeat humour
found here in Dua Sen.
Today's also the 1st anniversary of Screenshots,
the popular local blog helmed by my friend &
fellow blogger Jeff Ooi. Through his unrelenting
crusade of scrutinising the news and the newsmakers,
several people were caught with their pants down
("fu lat" in Cantonese). The indefatigable
self-appointed media watchdog, 'agent provocateur'
and blogger extraordinaire becomes the fitting
subject of the first cartoon here...
