Say
cheese. Say sugar cane in this case.
It's hard to make a moody giant smile.
If she don't like your presence she
might hurl a banana tree trunk your
way. Or worse, hurl you against a tree
trunk.
Story: Behind
the smile
The gentle pachyderms at the
Elephant Sanctuary in Kuala Gandah,
Pahang enjoy temporary respite. Even
with translocation and conservation
efforts, the Asian elephant remains
critically endangered with unabated
poaching and habitat encroachment.
Help support the sanctuary's effort
to promote public awareness and knowledge
of the elephants plight. Start
by making a visit.
