pm: Dark clouds over Kuala Lumpur's
horizon. An ominous sign of the evening's
impending weather. As it turned out,
the much-awaited sighting of the much-advertised
celestial event was a no-show
for many of this city's residents.
Story: Back on
earth.
Indifferent to the Moon-Mars rendezvous,
a backhoe clears a patch of land on
overtime in Gombak (left). The few remaining
plants stood bravely, awaiting certain
death underneath the weeping heavens.
Tip: Get your shoes muddy. Get closer
and lower for a better pic.
