The
National Day's fireworks display around
the Petronas Twin Towers seemed less
spectacular this year. It was shorter
both in height and duration but as I
was shooting it I had a positive feeling
about it (left).
Story: Negative
thoughts, positive feelings.
Turning the picture into a colour negative
(via simple inversion), I now have another
piece of 'art' to hang on the wall.
Tip: When shooting fireworks, move as
far from 'ground zero' as possible.
Staying too near may result in photographing
just the sky above and having gunpowder
raining down on your lens. Select a
location that allows you to juxtapose
the display against a familiar landmark
or skyline.
