SNOWING BALLOONS

It was snowing balloons at Batu Caves. Thousands of helium balloons were released as part of the ceremony to unveil a giant statue of a Hindu deity.

Story: One thousand balloons, one click
With the wind changing direction unpredictably, there was only one brief moment for a decent shot. I framed it against this interesting foreground to show depth. The highly directional late afternoon sun restricted my angle considerably (left). On the other hand, its brightness allowed the use of an aperture with fair depth of field and a fast enough shutter to freeze the balloons high up in the sky.
