I
IN THE SKY by

The
recent update of Kuala Lumpur's satellite images on Google
Earth shows better resolution than before. Even though the available data
is more than a year old, one still can have fun flying around. In the course of
work, I have flown extensively over Kuala Lumpur and other places in both fixed-wing
aircrafts and helicopters. Here are some of my armchair observations of the GEMs
(Google Earth Malaysia) captured...

that resulted in endless traffic jams on both sides of Jalan Tun Razak. On the
next Google Earth update of KL you should see the 'smartest' solution ever thought
out. Someone decided to widen the bottle instead of the neck! The nightmarish
snail-paced construction is finally over and the jams now go all the way to the
Parliament Building and Ampang Park (even with traffic police supervision). 1500
