  Traffic jam. It is good to have a pocket telephoto when you walk into something unexpected. I always keep the shutter priority mode ready at 1/1000 sec for such moments.

  A homeless man sitting on a five-foot-way. The long zoom may make a great portrait lens but it is the image stabilizer that saves the day for this quick one-handed shot from his eye-level.
