SP 550
Su Ann in tourist mode at Dong Zen. The SP 550 makes a great travel camera but there are times when additional adjustment is needed, especially under unusual lighting. In P mode, the pop-up flash exposed her face correctly but the background became overly dark. I switched to S mode and lowered the shutter speed to brighten the foreground.

The trade-off is that the main subject must stay relatively still. The ambient light and the slow shutter can result in an overlapping 'ghost' image if the main subject or camera moved. As such, the image stabilizer was also called-upon to minimize camera shake.
