SP 550
Full Moon last night. I set up a tripod on my garden, underestimating the brightness as it hovered directly overhead. Could have handheld the camera but at 504 mm, a tripod is safer as I have disabled the Image Stabilizer. I also made sure the lens is spotlessly clean; free from any dust or grime to derive maximum sharpness. This 100% crop shows some slight chromatic aberration (green fringing) which can be easily corrected with software. Notice the contours of the uneven terrain at the 10 to 11 o'clock position. Not bad for a pocket rocket.
